Treatment
Programme: Installation
(Video)
Duration: 1
minute depending on how much content is filmed
Format: Stop
Motion sequence
Audience:
Middle
and Upper-class audience because they are the audience that are typically
interested in art installations. The audience would also likely be old because
they have more time to visit art exhibitions.
Actor/Actress: The
performer in my video must be very patient and able to sit still for long
periods of time. They won’t require any acting abilities, because I will move
their body between each shot.
Aim:
The
aim of the project is to create a video installation that will represent one of
the themes that were given to us. My idea is to create an installation about
dreams, and use stop motion to make a person act out different exciting things
in a boring location (a bed) while asleep. It’s an idea I got while watching a
music video named ‘Her morning Elegance’, which uses stop motion to do the same
thing as me.
Suggested
Elements:
The
content in the video is meant to show that anything can happen in your dreams. This
is why the content in the video is slightly farfetched and interesting. It
would also be very difficult for me to film as a student in real locations. The
idea is to show the video as a dream, by having it projected onto the screen in
the booth in a bubble leading away from a person in a bed.
Cost:
There
will be certain costs of the production because I need a lot of different bed
covers and sheets to show the different locations. I also need a lot of pillows
to act as clouds. These might be available from the art of textiles departments
in college. This would save me the cost of buying materials that I won’t use
again.
